Simple Detox Habits (Without Going Extreme)

Detox has become a buzzword, often associated with restrictive diets or expensive cleanses. But your body already detoxifies naturally — every second of every day. The liver, kidneys, skin, lungs, and gut form a powerful internal cleaning system. The trick is supporting those organs, not punishing them.
We guide clients away from fads and toward steady, evidence-based detox habits that actually work.
Support the Liver Daily
Your liver processes everything you eat, breathe, and absorb. Help it thrive with:
- Bitter greens (rocket, dandelion, endive) to trigger bile flow.
- Sulphur-rich vegetables (broccoli, garlic, onion) to activate detox enzymes.
- Adequate protein for amino acids that drive liver pathways.
- A break from alcohol and refined sugar to reduce inflammation.
Hydrate and Eliminate
Water is the medium that carries waste away. Aim for 2–3 L a day, plus herbal teas like dandelion root or nettle. Daily bowel motions complete detox — if sluggish, increase fibre and magnesium.
Move to Lymph and Sweat
Your lymphatic system has no pump — movement is its engine. Walking, rebounding, dry-brushing, and sauna sessions move lymph and skin toxins out naturally.
Sleep: The Overnight Cleanse
During deep sleep, your brain’s glymphatic system clears metabolic waste. Late nights stall that process. Keep a consistent bedtime and dark room.
You don’t need drastic cleanses; you need consistency. Daily nourishment, movement, hydration, and rest are your body’s built-in detox plan.
